Karen has over 16 years experience in the hair and beauty industry. With her passion and dedication she has achieved an amazing reputation with her clients and industry members in the Illawarra. Starting my career in make up and quickly getting into hairdressing I knew this was my chosen career.
Completing my apprenticeship was a massive goal for me. I worked for Unity Hair artist for over 6 years. I am very grateful to my old team members they taught me my basics in hairdressing. Here became the benchmark of the high standards of service that I still continue today.
At the very young age of 22 I then began the journey of working for myself opening AMMARA HAIR. Having Ammara hair for a little over 4 years was great experience. I learnt a lot, about my strengths and weaknesses in running a business. Due to health reasons, I had to close the business and focus on my health.
I was lucky enough that I had left on fabulous terms with Unity Hair and was asked to come back and work for them again.
It was quite refreshing not to have to worry about a business for a change, but me being me it wasn’t enough I needed more. I needed that extra challenge and needed to create my dream again, so this is when SABO HAIR BY KAREN was born.
I started out hiring a chair in Wollongong and quickly grew from there in just short space of 3 months Sabo Hair By Karen was ready for it’s own place.
My dream is up and running we now have our own beautiful space and our team is growing. I know there will be challenges but I look forward to continue to provide the best techniques and quality services that makes all our clients feel beautiful when they visit our salon.
